Introduction
Childcare Works consortium is made up of Mott MacDonald, Coram Hempsall’s, and Coram, appointed by the Department for Education as the Delivery Support Contractor for the Early Years Entitlements and Wraparound Childcare expansions. Coram is responsible for designing and maintaining the Childcare Works website, and is the data controller.
This Privacy Notice explains the personal data we collect from you when you interact with us, as well as what we do with your information, how we’ll store and handle that data, and keep it safe.
How and when do we collect your personal data?
We collect information from you in the following ways:

A) When you interact with us directly:
When you fill out the form on the Childcare Works website to access LAB resources.
LAB is a learning area on the Childcare Works website. It is for Local Authority staff working on the rollout of the childcare entitlement and national wraparound care programme announced in 2023.
The personal information that you are sharing by accessing the LAB:

When you access the LAB, you will be giving your personal information to:

Coram will hold your personal information on secure IT infrastructure which is only accessible by authorised people and is Cyber Security Plus accredited.
The web developer (Domino Codes), which helps us run our website would also have access to your personal information, but will not be looking at, or processing, your personal information in any way.
The legal basis by which we are collecting your personal information, and processing it for the purposes of access to the LAB, is ‘consent’. You are providing your personal information so that you can access the LAB to make use of published resources and, where you have given specific consent via the opt-in box on the Access to the LAB page, to receive news and updates from Childcare Works.
When we collect or process your personal data, we’ll only keep it for as long as is necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. This will be based on our contractual agreement with the Department of Education, currently due to expire 31 March 2026.
At the end of that retention period, your data will either be deleted completely or anonymised, for example by aggregation with other data so that it can be used in a non-identifiable way for statistical analysis and business planning.

We use “cookies” to help our site run effectively. We use cookies to personalise the way our website is presented when you visit, to make improvements, and to ensure we provide the best service and experience for you.
