Check out the latest news from Childcare Works this week - what’s coming up, resources and reminders.
Summer term MI deadline
Thank you again for your continued hard work in submitting your summer term MI.
A reminder that the deadline is this Friday 4th July.
If you require any further information or support, please contact your CW adviser.
Cluster meetings
Cluster meetings start next week. These are a new way of working and replace the monthly wraparound contacts we usually have with you. This means you will have been invited to attend with an online cluster of other LAs for the monthly contact, catch up, and peer support. Each of the meetings is scheduled for 90 minutes.
If you would typically meet with your adviser each month and have not received an invitation to the cluster meetings, or if you are unable to attend the meeting you have been allocated to, please contact us childcareworks@mottmac.com
You can ask to attend alternative meetings if the date/time is not convenient for you. All of the meeting dates have been included in your original invitation, and are also listed in the table below.
If there are any topics that you would like to discuss in the meeting, or if you have any other questions about the cluster meetings, please contact your CW adviser.
National meeting
Thank you to everyone who attended last week’s national meeting in London. We were delighted to be joined by the Minister for Early Education, to hear from senior DfE leaders and to discuss and share ideas in six breakout sessions focusing on provider support, SEND, recruitment and retention and other key areas. We hope you found the event valuable.
During the national meeting we shared the updated Early Years and Wraparound route maps – please see below for links to the online versions.
If you attended the national meeting and haven’t yet shared your feedback, we’d be really grateful if you could spend a couple of minutes to complete this short evaluation form. Your feedback will support the planning of future events.
Newly updated... Route Maps to 2026
These newly updated route maps suggest where Childcare Works feel local authorities need to be in terms of their planning for, and delivery of, the programmes at the end of each academic term and breaks down some of the tasks that need to be completed to help reach that point. They also confirm the key deadlines along the journey and the returns that will need to be completed at various points. Download the route maps today.
