Newly added resources to the LAB and HUB this week
- If you missed, or would like to revisit the recording and slides from the ‘What’s working well in wraparound’ webinar held on 9th April where LAs discussed emerging solutions and good practice to meet local challenges, you can find them here: What’s working in wraparound childcare: Developing models of delivery that meet local challenges.
- Maximising existing marketing and promotional materials: We have created two documents, one for providers and one for local authorities, to support with marketing and promotional activities as the expansion of early years and wraparound childcare continues.
The LA marketing and promotional document has two aims:
- A reminder of content available for you on the LAB (for local authorities).
- To provide you with some information about the provider focused resources so you can lift, share and signpost to schools, childminders and PVI group providers directly to the marketing and promotion support available on the HUB and Childcare Choices.
The provider marketing and promotional document contains:
- The Early Years and Wraparound toolkits and the marketing sections of the Early Years and Wraparound Toolkits
- The series of marketing recordings
- Childcare Choices and government support
- Information to support maintained schools and academy trusts when developing the early years entitlements: From April 2024 eligible working parents of 2-year-olds have been able to access 15 hours childcare support and then from September 2024 to 15-hours childcare support was extended to eligible working parents of children from age of 9 months to 3-year-olds. Now planning focusses on September 2025 when all eligible working parents of children aged 9 months to the age of 5 will be entitled to 30 hours of childcare support a week.
We have created a series of short recordings to support maintained schools and academy trusts. Please share these resources with your schools and academy trusts – https://childcareworks.org.uk/delivering-early-years-in-schools-support-package
